Michael W. Hodin
Executive Director

Michael W. Hodin, Ph.D. serves as Executive Director of the Global Coalition on Aging. He is also Managing Partner at High Lantern Group, a consulting firm focused on strategic positioning through the power of ideas to build influence, enhance reputation and gain competitive advantage.

Prior to his current roles, Hodin was a senior executive at Pfizer, Inc. for 30 years, leading its International Public Affairs and Policy Operations. From 1976 to 1980, he was Legislative Assistant to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. During this period he was also a Visiting Scholar at Brookings Institution, on U.S. Foreign Economic Policy.

Hodin is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Ageing. He sits on the Boards of the American Society on Aging, Foreign Policy Association, BCIU, The NYC Blood Center, American Skin Association, Harris Manchester College, Oxford University, UK, and Emigrant Savings Bank, where he chairs the Compensation Committee. In 2006, he served as a private sector delegate representing the USG to the UN Environment Conference on Sustainable Development.

Mike holds a BA, cum laude, Cornell University, M.Sc.in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and M.Phil and Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University.
